Cooking coal transportation from 12 ports of country rise by 15 % to 29.9 million tonnes during April-September

(G.N.S) Dt. 08 New Delhi The transportation of cooking coal from 12 ports of the country increased by 15 per cent to 29.9 million tonnes during April-September in the current financial year. The Indian Ports Association (IPA) gave this information. Cooking coal is also known as metallurgical coal. It is mainly used in steel production. 254 million tonnes of coal were transported through public sector ports during the same period
