Fire at Serum Institute of India, Pune; 5 died

(G.N.S) Dt. 21 Pune At least five persons were killed after a fire broke out on the campus of the Serum Institute of India (SII) located at Manjari in Pune on Thursday afternoon, officials confirmed. Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla has clarified that the fire would not impact Covishield production. The fire brigade team came across bodies of five persons including one woman after the blaze was brought under control.
