(G.N.S) Dt. 23 Mumbai Former Indian Test team opener Madhan Apte died at the age of 86. On 5th October, he was 87 years old. He breathed his last Sunday morning at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He played seven Test matches for India between 1952-53 and scored 542 runs which included one century and three half-centuries. During this time he averaged 49.27. Madhav also played 67 first-class cricket matches
