Parties will have to issue their election manifesto 72 hours before voting: EC

(G.N.S) Dt. 11 New Delhi The committee set up by the Election Commission has made recommendations to amend the Model Code of Conduct. According to these recommendations, the parties will have to issue their election manifesto 72 hours before polling ends of the first phase. The Committee has proposed to increase the scope of Election Silence, ie, to the online versions of Social Media, Internet, Cable Channels and Print Media.
